मैं मां को लिख दू इतनी कहा मेरी औकात है ,

और मैं क्या बताऊं मां के बारे में ,

मां होना एक खुद में बहुत बड़ी बात है ,

मैने देखा है हर साथ मांगने वाले से धक्का मिलते ,

एक मां ही है जो हर मुड़ाव पे अपने साथ है ,

बस मां बनने के लिए अपने सारे सुख भुलाना पड़ता  है ,

खुद भूखी होते हुए भी ,अपने बचे को खिला कर सुलाना पड़ता है ,

और कोई कैसे छोड़ जाते है लोग आश्रम में अपनी मां को ,

यहां तो बिना मां के हर दिन बेगाना लगता है ,

और भले खड़े हो अपने पलको पे आंसू,

पर एक मां ही है जैसे अपना हस्ता चेहरा दिखाना पड़ता है ll

I should write to my mother and tell her that this is my status.

And what can I tell about mother,

Being a mother is a big thing in itself.

I have seen that everyone who asks for companionship gets pushed back.

There is only one mother who is with you at every turn,

Just to become a mother you have to forget all your happiness,

Despite being hungry myself, I have to feed my children and put them to sleep.

And how do people leave their mother in the ashram?

Here, without mother, every day feels like a stranger.

And even if you stand with tears on your eyelids,

But there is only one mother who has to show her true face.

Main maa ko likh dun itni kaha meri aukaat hai ,

aur main kya batau maa ke bare mein ,

maa hona ek khud mein bahut badi baat hai ,

maine dekha hai har saath maangne wale se dhakka milte ,

ek maa hi hai jo har mudaav pe apane saath hai ,

bas maa banane ke lie apane sare sukh bhulana padta  hai ,

khud bhukhi hote hue bhi ,apane bache ko khila kar sulana padta hai ,

aur koi kaise chhod jaate hai log aashram mein apni maa ko ,

yaha to bina maan ke har din begana lagata hai ,

aur bhale khade ho apne palako pe aansoo,

par ek maan hi hai jaise apna hasta chehara dikhana padta hai ll
